Firefighter crawls across ladder above floods to save woman

Volunteer firefighters rescued 19 people and a dog from flash flooding in Oxford, Connecticut by crawling across a ladder on 18 August.

Heavy rain swept the state with two reported missing according to the BBC’s North America partner CBS.

New Jersey and New York have also been affected by the severe weather.
